Just launched a redesign of my site. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Thanks for your help.

I like the header design, and most of the site is nice and crisp looking. My biggest issues would be with the home page.

The flash behind the "Tell a consistent story." box made it hard for me to focus on reading the paragraph. My eye kept wondering away to try to figure out what was in the photos behind the text.

As looking at the home page, I was also wondering what the main purpose of the site was. I assume you are trying to sell your design skills. However, I also felt I was suppose to be reading your blog, which necessarily relate to design.

Bottom line, I like the design skills you are showing, but the main page seems unfocused.

its nice and clean. I agree with graffiks comments about the photos - haveing the big heavy grey box appear over them blocks them out and makes them pretty much irrelevant if you cant see them.

also, in your nav: resume only has an accent on the second e. and Im not sure about the 'brace yo'self' bit - for a hip hop site, fine, but theres no real need to ebonicise your page, and only on this little part of it - it comes across as a bit lame to be honest and also unprofessional.

other than those little things though - good job!

It feels too gray and doesn't quite have as much contrast as I'd like.
You've got Design in grey and Latest Work in a lighter, easier to read grey. The description is secondary, right? I'd swap the colors so Design is brighter and "Latest Work" is darker so the user will read that first.

Something about the columns in your portfolio are unintuitive to me. Maybe it's the vertical rule.

The left column has the example of your work, the right column has the description. I'm so used to having less relevant info in the right column - e.g. links to areas elsewhere on the site - so I completely ignored that section. Consider uniting the layout there instead of dividing it.

Yum. I do love salmon sandwiches. The bakery near me do great smoked salmon bagels. It's not a bagel shop so they don't jack up the prices.

Today I had leftovers. Chorizo and...

It won't stay this way ... but, they have to get all the bugs worked out first and then we will worry about cosmetic issues

I would try to us the join feature on the pathfinder. The first icon. you might want to select all of one color and then use the pathfinder to get rid of some unnessary anchors. Good luck getting the...

"Alpha Channel" is a (somewhat dated) way for Photoshop to store mask information in an image file. In the days before support for native Photoshop transparency, it was the de facto method for...

Yes, I plan to have about 8-10 projects, many taking two pages (single side). the price break for the printer was at 25 sheets, so that's what I was going with. I haven't laid anything out yet as I've...
