i would appreciate any feedback that can be given to me on the site, i posted this a while back and got no responses. I was hoping maybe this time I can get a few tips.

i mainly chose str8 html so it could be seen decently on phones. i linked the videos to youtube so it can keep stats, and at the same time most phones can open youtube video links.

i know theres no animation or anything, but my style is a mix of grungy illustration and HUGE crops. if that makes any sense... heh

comments on pros and cons of the design would be appreciated too.

    thnx every1

Ok I didn't go far... because I got frustrated that I couldn't get back to the home page. You should make your name at the top linkable.

A note on the design, it's really really busy. I'm not a fan. I can see from your work that you are a grunge artist to some degree. And I can totally respect that. But right now your background distracts from your pieces. You want them to be the focus.
Also I think that the little glimpses of the pieces could be a bit bigger, or more square so that I can get a sense of the piece before clicking it.

This is a fly-by post. I'll come back later if I can to check out more.

I thought it was pretty busy, too... even though, the more I look at this background piece, the more I like it...

and I didn't get what's going on on the homepage. Is this the work you're doing? Why not post the video, if that's what it's supposed to be?

and also, "most talented, least known"? isn't that something that should be said by someone other than yourself before you post it as your title?

              thnx for all the responses!

Audentia: ya, i agree, the BG image is busy. it kinda added to the "abstract drawing" feel. but it does take away from the main pieces like you said. im gunna look for a way to tone it down but keep the same feeling. And as for the link, if you click the title, it does take you back to the homepage.

also, in your post, can you please break up the link, just so i dont get any tracebacks. sry for the inconvenience, im a little picky about that. but i do very much respect your oppinion.

aegraphic: thnx for the compliments. the stills are there because it is a work in progress right now. Its not completed. I usually post the newest stuff on my front page, as well as the blog.

                a { outline:none; } is your friend!

Also, use image sprites for your rollovers, it will clean up your code a LOT! You can every single one of your portfolio thumbnails in one image (up and hover states). This will speed up download speed since the viewers computer will only have to ping your server once for the image.

Your 'loading' and 'X' lightbox graphics look like arse with the pixelated white border on them. I would redo them with a dark matte on the edges.

Also, try adding some padding, or a mini navigation at the bottom of your pages so that your portfolio content doesn't on the bottom when one scrolls all the way down.

I'd buy a new domain. It's going to be hard to explain to clients that you're at "leon dot com dot com." Try "designbyleon" or "leonwebdesign."

I actually ended up going with RichCopy. It's free, only overwrites files that have been changed since last backup (quicker backups,) and doesn't compress or pack the files. My brother who is an IT tech...

Yep, I had a look at this forum on an iPad this morning and looked pretty good. Doesn't work with Tapatalk, but maybe we don't need it to.

Actually, not so bad for a beginner. The thing is, it's not only a matter of doing it "correctly;" it's one of those things that simply takes practice. It's no different than when you were new...

                    I use Cobain Backup http://www.cobiansoft.com/index.htm

It's real easy to use and doesn't change your files in any way.

Aww, we had a bunny when I was a kid. I loved to trans it out by rubbing between its ears. We also had another rabbit. That rabbit was a bit more formidable. He chased horses....
