Right on! It was some random thing I was making but then when I looked @ the other three metal balls outside of the ring and first one, It reminded me of an orbit in space so I was like "Oh what to name this" lol. I'm not good with just random names lol.
the render is a bit better than the last you posted.
I would suggest looking at what photographers call a three point light set up. This will get rid of the weird shadows the single directional lighting is causing. Plus it will get rid of the 'looking into a headlight' as the reflection on the front of the globes says.
Thanks Drazan. I will definitely expirement with the 3 point lighting setup and see what I can get out of it. I'm still pretty noobish @ Cinema 4D so it will probably take me a little while to get the angles and positions right in every picture lol. Thanks for the feedback and link!
Take a look at using the light as a camera: I don't know if it is true for c4d. but should be as most 3d programs are set up this way.
Look for something like "view point" where as you can select which camera or object (such as a light) to look through. Then you can visuallize where the light is actually pointed.

Unfortunately my school does not offer a graphic design program, and I can't transfer to one because my parents aren't exactly supportive of a creative career. So I'm teaching myself the fundamentals...
