    Hi there,

I'm a graphic designer from Maldives. I quite literally looked up "graphics designer forums" today to find a good place to meet like minded design people.

    Hi there,

I'm probably very late to the party but this is my portfolio. I'm self-taught and working from Maldives. Trying to find a way to actually study though haha

I like the calligraphy. It's nice.

My biggest concern is both the inconsistent level of detail and whether or not that detail will hold up in small sizes. The fancy-looking ends of the horizontal...

This really is more of a badge than a logo. And it's very similar to this one

At one agency I worked production at, the Art Director would come up with many ideas that were presented and one was chosen. Many times the client would choose "parts" of logos and have them...

    Hi,

I'm making a logo for my initials (GK) and I settled on a combination of the two letters. When I went to vectorize them, I had a few results.

    Here they are:

I think I am going to go with the one on the lower left, but I would love to hear whether or not the GK is easy to make out. If you have any other feedback, go ahead.

It's hard to read the K in these, plus the power symbol logo has been done a lot. And they're all too similar to the Quicktime logo.

Oh yes, I see Quicktime now too.

Have you tried this with the G not in a perfect circle shape?

I don't like it. Is this just for fun or will it represent you and your business?

In the ones where I see the K, I cannot see the G, and in the ones where I see the G, I cannot see the K.
            'kay, see?

I think another strategy/concept in needed.

You thought about using your initials.
Then you went to the computer to create the logo.

The problem is you didn't sketch anything out BEFORE you hoped on the computer!

I never said anything about not sketching first. I actually like my sketches better than my illustrator shapes, but i don't think I want a very sketchy style.

And also, this is just for fun, not a business.

It just looks like a very confusing power switch.

Can't you work a similar version but using GK?

Reminds me of the Goodwrench logo.
