  • 1 or 2 or 3. (logo ideas)

These are logo ideas, Not the final thing. I'm trying to test different styles and see what direction I want to go in.

Logo is for a pawn shop. Note: Logo will be place to store name: NIC investments' pawn and store (or) NIC, Pawn and store. Nic investments is the original business, I want to show that it owns NIC pawn and store.

So. 1 or 2, or continue to work on 3.

Please no business advice, just logo advice. Thank you.

I think the crown in #2 looks the best. I'm iffy about the balls at the bottom.

    2!

      Still not digging the crown.

In the first 2, the crown looks like an after thought.

The 3rd needs to be set free in a land where bad logos go to die.

      Hire a professional already.

Right, weren't some of these elements nicked off of other people's websites?

I'm not sure what those balls are supposed to be.

The first one is the only one there with potential but I like the crown in 2. But "Investments" looks like an afterthought. You also need to lose those colors in Investments. Start the logo in black and white only (not greyscale). Once you have a working concept that you know works in 1 color, then add color. Logo's really shouldn't have more than 2 colors and gradients are even less of a good idea.

            Yeah, that's my fault.

The first two make me think of a grandfather clock, the "balls" resemble pendulums and other ornate weights found in the cabinets of them. there are too many colors, not as a rule, it's how they are used in this instance. There's not much that it's working imo, they all look and say amateur/cheap..

I don't think a symbol is useful if it is too obscure for the general public to "get".

As a concept or a rough sketch, the 3rd concept is best. Of course, the text needs a lot of work to get it readable and looking professional.

Does the general public not identify three gold balls with pawn shops any more? Any pawn shop I've ever seen uses it as a symbol.

Weird! I had never noticed that before. As for pawn shop owners, seems they all attended the same school of bad taste.

What? That's confusing. No one knows that NIC is an Investment company. They'll just assume it stands for something, or the owner's name is Nic. For several years, I went by Nic, instead of Nick. For a couple months, I even went by Nich. I figured there was no k in Nicholas, so made more sense to go by Nic or Nich. Silly kids.

Where was I? Oh, yes, don't you have this posted in the Classified board? If you're trying to hire someone, you should probably let the designer you hire design it.

Again, in what universe is a pawn shop investment banking? Do people who pawn their TV usually buy securities for the money?

                              Is this you, Nick?
