    Hey'

I'm pretty new to this forum - but I would love to get some critic on my portfolio.

I'm gonna post the link to my homepage so you can have a look. There is still a few spelling errors on it. But feel free to comment on the different work or on the homepage itself.

Hope to get some constructive criticism from you! :roll eyes:

Some pretty solid stuff there, your site was a little tough to navigate once left the index page, figured it out but it wasn't obvious and compounded with the inability to use the back button on the browser, made it a little frustrating.

I like the use of textures in your work and that you included some of your concept work on you're website. One thing I noticed was that it all appeared to be student work, very well done student work, but lacking a little on the effective communication side of things (in some pieces), which is why I draw the conclusion that a client was not involved in many of theses samples.

The nihon piece is really solid.

Forgot to add, I'm not sure why you decided to include the eye roll at the end of you're post, but it comes across as cocky. There is a certain level of humility required to be and continue to be employable. You can be good at what you do and fail because of an attitude like that, only when you've made it can you really be a dick like Gordon Ramsey, but I'm sure he wouldn't roll his eyes at someone he asked to critique his food.

Some really nice work there, and while a lot of it does feel like student work, it's more than strong enough and I like the way you document your thinking.

One thing I would be wary of is including some of the more 'arty' pieces. While theyre great, theyre not strictly in the context of 'paying client' graphic design.

While there is often overlap between art and design (depending on who you ask), if you're after a design job you might want to include more branding/print/magazine type work, and leave the artwork for another site.

The other thing is that some of your text was incredibly small, and the grey you used lowered the contrast and made it even harder to read. If youre going to use text this small, make sure you darken it up. If you make it bigger you can keep the darkness the way it is.

Thanks for the answer above kemingMatters. I will see what I can do too make the site more easy to navigate.

As for the stupid eye roll it was actually a mistake. Just wanted a smiley as a token of appreciation - I can see your point and I am sorry it was seen as cocky! Not my intension at all.

Come to think about it I think you have a good point on the arty pieces.
Gonna correct the text on the website as soon as possible...

                Thanks again'
