I'm not sure what info they provided, but I'd eliminate the "EL" before Día. And yes, you need the accent over the i. "Dia" is not a Spanish word.

Why photoshop? I don't see any photoshop-specific techniques... am I missing something? Also, can you elaborate a little on the purpose and parameters of the project? Is it a poster? A (series of) banners? A card that will be folded? I'm not quite sure why there are 3 panels.

I used a royalty free image of the skull (I gave the creator credit) that was vector based and multiplied out bits of it (the flowers ect) in Photoshop simply because I don't know how to run Illustrator very well (Im learning) the piece was a triptych to represent the three days of the actual holiday (even though its called "Dia") that folds at the dividing lines. It was entered into a art fest whose only parameters were the subject matter must pertain to Hispanic cultural relevance.

Oh, you didn't draw it... how disappointing

"Folds at the dividing lines" how exactly? Does it form a triangle? Is it a z-fold?

this could all be done in illy very easily. push yourself to learn the software rather than fall back on what you know. the quality of your work will improve greatly.

Looks like you didn't create much of anything here...

You might want to check the submission rules of the contest you entered. Usually they ask you to submit only work you hold the copyright to. And/or the work you submit to them becomes their property. That's not something you can convey by using someone else's art, whether it's for commercial use or not.

Hmmm, posting work when 90% isn't your own work for an art show?

Are you serious? Do you think that they'd accept your designs based on your ability to buy stock design work?

I'd rethink your approach to this and whatever you do, don't put this in a portfolio if you're creating/have one.
