Hello - so need to get my business cards out soon so after lots of to-ing and fro-ing with myself I've come up with this - thoughts?

I am planning to get partial gloss print on the 'watermark' words on the back and the logo on the front

    Front

    hi dave,

I like the design but are you using a different red from front to back? at first glance it felt like 2 different approaches, might help them go together better maybe?

      Thanks allesandro
The red on the back is the same. I see your point though. It doesnt seem to have much of a connection to the front. Maybe it needs some of that orange on the text?

You cut off the word Effective in all instances. Not very...effective and certainly not at business card size.
        It just becomes Busy.
Have you had these printed yet?
        Going spot or digital?
Cuz I see 4 distinct colors on the back and an additional on the face.

I have not had them printed yet. I should really have effective in there alright. I was hoping that the similar colours in the background would be a nice contrast to the black info boxes?

I was thinking Spot colour - could this turn out pricey with my design?

what point size is that text going to be at?

Also im confused how this is supposed to lay out.. is it supposed to be vertical? I've never seen a business card with a vertical layout.. I dont know if that helps or hurts you.

especially with the front.. People are probably naturally going to look at that Horizontally because "Studio" is written out that way.

I like it. I think the partial gloss on the back will look nice.

Depending on your print run, you might consider a digital clear varnish.

Offset generally is economical only for business card runs of 1000 or more. We have a digital laser printer that can do layers of spot varnish. One offs and small runs are ideal.

The business card print was coming in extrememly expensive so I need another option. One printer said that they dont do the digital laser printer option but they do do "Four colour process with aqueous varnish" what ever that means?

                  I said do-do :P

That would be offset with an aqueous varnish. The varnish will help protect the ink from scuffs and help them dry more quickly.

It depends on price really but I was thinking 500 to 1000

So probably not what I'm looking for...
