blue, i don't think you are really giving people much to go on. Don't just assume that sticking something up and saying what do you think of this is going to evoke much of a response. what is the intention of them ? what have you done with them ?

ok, cool. My only reason for these is just the shear feel for making graphic designs. The other site that i usally go to is a free service site, so id make random things for random people. and what i want to know of this one is that the colaboration of the render matches that of the aged design.

Looks like those signature banners people have in forums.

basically yes, i make signatures for people that either are too lazy, dont have the recources, or just have no sense of color balance.

pardon my ignorance, but i would look to being alittle more creative. the impression that i get is that you've taken a web image, and applied a filter/texture to it. i can't really say much more than that without being insulting, but then there isn't much of you to critique in this, otherwise i'd be alittle more constructive.

Acually i think i kind of like using renders from web images and filters to create banners sigs and backgrounds and such. Just seems like the thing to do. plus i just took a look around and thought about it. Why on earth would i post my signatures to be judged by the creators of buisness cards and other things of that like. so yea, no, i like my style.

Why indeed would you post your signatures ? they aren't technically even your signatures seeing as you haven't created them, but we can get into intellectual property at another stage. that's your parrogative(sp?), but you have come to a graphic design forum and asked for critique on what you deemed your 'graphic designs', so we, the designers of business cards and all other things of that like will clitique.

you said it yourself, BSoD: you're just playing around with photoshop. whatever works for you.

generally, a dim view is taken of people pilfering other artists work, though. it's all about what you want.

personally, i don't see the point in sigs. i don't see the point in filters for the sake of it. and i don't see the point in you even posting here if you're going to come across all attitude.

now, if you wanted to actually create some original artwork, i'd be happy to lend my expertise. and i say expertise as a creator (not theif) of business cards, logos, brochures, illustrations, animations, and more.

i honestly encourage people to be creative in any way that satisfies them, but i fail to see much creativity here. all i see is 'artistic temperment'.

                      sorry 'bout that, big guy.

                          way to use filters!

if you ceated this from scratch that would be worth the critique. anyone can open up photoshop and play with filters.

Don't get me wrong it looks good and what you do with your time is up to you, but you asked for peoples opinions and you will always get just that. Other peoples opinions. If you can't take the words being said, then don't post unless you are able to handle the critique.

                          Now let's play nice friends.

As i've said before... Sig's are what got me interested in graphics in the first place, but what i don't understand is why people post them on here!?! I'm not having a go at you BSOD, but half an hour spent browsing these forums tells you that this isn't a sig site. As you'll be able to tell if you look at any of my work, i am by no means a professional Graphic Designer, but i do try to make my posts relevent to the forum!

I do still visit a sig site regularly, so don't think i'm down on sigs, i just think there's a time and a place... Just my 2c anyway!
