  • Feedback needed for Flyers

    #1
    Hi

    I am just starting out and I am putting my promotional material together ( I will be working under the name Graphic Icing).

    Could I please get some feedback on my flyers which can be found at the following links;

    Thank you

    Hi Graphic Icing and welcome to GDF!

    I recommend uploading images of your flyers versus PDFs, you'll get more feedback that way. Most people will not risk downloading anything from an unknown source/person.

    We ask that all new members take a few minutes to read through important threads here and here. These will explain our rules, answer frequently asked questions and explain some of the long running jokes you'll run into.

    Enjoy your stay.

      Thanks for the heads up.
      Here are the flyers;

      A6 flyer - Back

        I'm not sure where to start...

        that blue with that orange vibrates more than a sex toy hooked up to car battery. The A5 Flyer back just seems wasteful, I mean there's not even contact info, just some orange shape with bites taken out of.

        The examples of your work are just thrown on all haphazard like you don't care about them, and that's what it is saying. The websites would be more identifiable as websites if you framed them in a browser window.

        The font pairing leaves a lot be desired also.

          i don't think it needs to say "examples of our work" - might just be me, but it's implied, and i don't think the headline is adding anything.

          the tagline is also redundant when right next to the "web and graphic design" header. i might just leave it as "...all your graphic design needs" in the tagline, or change it all together.

            The tagline font is waaaay too light. I'd use regular rather than light or thin.

            A5 flyer: There's nothing on the back? Why does it need to be a 2 sided flyer at all?

              Is "counseling" spelled with 2 L's where you live? It's one L here. 'Clients' is misspelled for sure.

              I think you need to darken your blue if you're going to keep that orange. It's a little bothersome that your tag is "The Icing on the Cake" but it's a cupcake. Unless you're planning to do something dynamic with the back, I would cut it out. It's just ink without a point.

              The St. Aldem's bit seems to come out of nowhere. I'm not clear on whether it's a stand alone thing or if it's supposed to go with something there.

                Thanks

                Thanks, for all the feedback and I will look in to all the points.

                > I will remove the back on the A5
                > Look at the layout of the work
                > Spend a bit more time with the heading / Sub heading / example of work to decide what is needed
                > I will update the YAWP screen shot (Thank you cornfed for pointing out the spelling mistake, and yes counselling is spelt with 2 Ls here. )

                In regards to the blue, it actually prints a lot dark, and so does the orange, but thank you for the feedback it definitely is something to think about.

                I will look at the tag font,as it has printed really well on the business cards and I would hate to break the consistency between the flyer and business cards. ( Maybe I will print the first batch with thin and switch everything once the business cards run out)

                THANK YOU all so much.

                  • What color space are you working in? RGB? CMYK?
                  • You're not laying these flyers out in photoshop are you?
                  • The twitter icon you are using is obsolete. See this for current twitter brand standards.

                    The white outline in "contact us" and "web & graphic design" are a little hard on the eyes

                    You seem to be using several different fonts throughout the flyer, perhaps stick with just 2 (the 2 fonts in your logo)
