I love this - it's very clean and your work is great. The only thing that I would like to see is you emphasizing your name a bit more in the header, but that's just a personal choice. Right now, it kinda just blends in. It's fine on the first page because you have the big image with your name on it, but going to any other page means it's a little lost in everything.

Thanks for the kind words! I can see what you mean with the size of the name. I kept the size of my name in line with the navigation because I was struggling with the hierarchy, especially in combination with the titles on the project pages. But I think I found a better balance now.

Really nice work. The portfolio design is very pared down, but this only allows the work to shine.
Your product designs are very impressive!
Nothing bothers me about your portfolio at all.

I really like it. It's clean, easy to navigate and the focus is on your work (which is really good, by the way).

when i scroll down to see your work, the business card scrolls too, which is really distracting.

I'd create more space in the CV part of your site. A little hard to read.
I was going to suggest the adaptive-images script since when you reduce your browser size the banner does not adapt with it BUT I saw you're using a wordpress theme... but if you know how to get it to work I might look into that.
Otherwise, it looks nice!

Very clean. I like the subtle use of parallax scrolling, it might be enhanced a touch by displaying all the information (folio, CV and contact) on one page and using anchors with a jQuery animated scrolling effect. That's certainly not a deal breaker, you'd just be saving people from waiting for the other pages to load, both of which have minimal content.
Regardless, the work stands out, it feels welcoming, it's a good solution.
Side note: Just a personal preference, but I'd consider leaving a bit more of that woodgrain on either side of the card before fading it out.Last edited by kemingMatters; 02-26-2013, 07:40 PM.

Thanks everyone! I can see opinions on the banner are a bit divided, and tbh I'm not completely satisfied with it either. I mean, it's nice and eye-catching but it doesn't really serve any other purpose.
Kem's post got me thinking about just integrating everything (but the projects) in one long page and I made a quick comp. I think I like it, but it feels a bit.. bare? I'd love to hear some opinions!
