Hello everybody. I am doing a project for school and I would like some feedback!! Please! Here attached are my plates.
Here is the project instructions:
Using a self-chosen recipe or set of instructions, along with the typographic variables listed in this statement, you will experiment with multiple ways in which the written message can be effectively displayed. One final plate will be rendered in accordance to each of the variables listed below. Black text on a white background should be use for all plates except for the Color and Visual Punctuation plates.
1. Proximity—Making sure to keep all type the same weight and size, vary the space between
words, lines, paragraphs, etc. to create hierarchy. UPPER case may be used starting here.
2. Weight—Place emphasis on important communicative words by varying the typographic weight
within your text. All type must remain the same size. Italics may be used starting here.
3. Size—Keeping all type the same weight, vary the size of key words within your text to further
emphasize specific messages, feelings, and/or emotions.
4. Weight and Size—Combine principles of both weight AND size to create compositional
meaning. Experiment with relationships between weight and size to ensure proper message.
5. Color—Create typographic emphasis through principles of weight, size, AND color. Explore
how adding color to your design enhances meaning, and generate explorative studies when
necessary. Your color composition must be original—you cannot take previously created
plates and simply add color to change the designs.
6. Visual Punctuation—Keeping with the variables of weight, size, and color, add visual elements
(geometric shape, line, etc.) to your designs to enhance meaning and typographic message.
