    Hi,

I'm doing a design for our com's client, Quebec Leisure.
    It's a event company basically.

I've spent quite a while coming up with this visual. I'm kinda both satisfied and not satisfied with it. Basically, the website itself (without the content) seems a bit too plain...

Opinions and suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thks!

    I good

I like the design. It's clean and simple. The layout is well executed and serves the company well. I guess the only thing that isn't really pleasing to me is the gradients, but that is just personal opinion. Does there logo actually have the photoshop glow effect or did you add that?

I do think that the design is clean and simple, but IMO it's maybe a bit too much focused on the 'leisure' part of Quebec Leisure. It's very soft, in colour and in texture, but the actual content of the site makes me think of things like 'excitement' 'entertainment' 'fun' 'activeness', essentially it's showing opportunities to go out and do stuff (and the contributions that the company has made to help out with this), at least that's my impression of the content.

      I'd suggest a bit bolder/more modern header colour/style...

I love Quebec for it's vibrant culture and lively people. And the music.

The logo was a headache, dark blue for the 'Q' and white for the 'L'. (It's not designed by me)

Thus I need to do something to allow both letter to appear strong at the same time.

Yes you're right, that's the nature of my client's business. Maybe I'll try that, thanks.

          Guess I'll use strong colours.

I imagine there's all sorts of fan art out there in this style for inspiration. You already have the banner templates, so just find an interesting way of using them. It doesn't have to be overly complicated...

Good points, although I'm unsure how to correct this without starting it all over from scratch and scrapping the whole idea. I'll have to think about it.

Yes, I got the general idea from my copy of Gulliver's Travels.

I had hoped that I could convey the seasons with the colors and leaves, with the greens representing Summer and Spring and...

I can't see the image because of the new upgrade. Do they like it?

Unfortunately I don't have access to any other programs, gah. Question about crop marks...are they necessary? This may sound like a silly question, but for the invitations, the design itself is very simple...
