  • One of those boring, tedious jobs that we designers do...

This is a register matrix for Wendy's, both in Knoxville and Southern California. You know, the touchpad on the cash registers that they punch your order in with. Well, this isn't sexy, but I thought I would post it to remind us that not every client is Coke or Mtv, and not every job is sexy.

pretty soon, the text will be worn off, the colours faded and, underneath the yellowing plastic cover, the staff will be working only by the crazy thumb-patterns of over-use...

          ...just so you know.

great idea to post that. i totally feel you on the tedium, but it's one of those jobs that pays the bills.

Boring? Looks quite exciting next to what my workload has been, sadly.

I love it when the client wants something printed on linen stock and laminated. You do realize that linen is a texture and that lamination will obliterate any texture, right? Geez!

Yeah, I'm there with the popcorn. Do you like regular or the sweeter kettle corn? That, and your pattented sweet tea!

...Or, after reading about your Orlando escapades, perhaps something stronger than sweet tea?

I just found a feature I had over looked on how to get to the last unread post in a thread. I give the solution at the following link.

I have had more time to explore the new forum features and will add a bit to this. After the results are loaded you will be presented with a list of posts that look like the graphic below with some icons...

As a printer, if I change a file for a design client, I know the color won't shift. But. If the design client sends an entirely new file, I check it to be sure the color won't shift. There are so many...

I think I am getting a bit better with the pen tool, but let me know if you see where I can improve? Also, if there are areas to improve the illustration style, thanks?...

This is something I made in my free time.

I'm not planning on going to art school or anything like that, but I still like drawing and designing, so I'm planning on doing it as a side thing....
