Be a Bush, "a uniter, not divide." I think you have two designs going on there. The outer glow on the text doesn't do anything for me, and it doesn't match the other design below or above. The middle top filtered photo section seems like a different design then the rest. The top and bottom are very clean and organized. Whereas the middle is chaotic and loud. I like the top and bottom design, but if you want to go with something more scary you might want to go with something more in line with what you have, but refine and tweak. Like a bad nightmare or something. It should make your skin crawl.

I posted this on some other forums that I frequent, and they ripped it apart without giving me any advice on how to improve it.

Thanks for that. Being at work, I didn't have much more than a couple of seconds to find a section as fitting as I could before I had to get to work again.

Less is more. Even if you removed the gray bars and the background pic, making the background entirely black, would be a good start.

I like the idea of using all those pictures on bars like that, but they aren't you main message, and it takes a lot of skill to intermix that kind of loudness with your message and not have it conflict. I would run all the photos in a long thin bar on the top and bottom of the flyer. It gives the looker something more to check out. Use an open black center and blow out your logo and make your message prominent.

Also, GO BIG. Make some blood dripping down the whole entire background, or a big scary face, or a full flyer lighted silhouette of freddy. I would switch the typography to something either A) an easier to read sans (Like Arial), or B) a graphic font that matches the holloween occasion. Wait a minute, itsn't holloween in like, a hundred months?

That's what I have for now. Just my humble ideas.

Oh, yeah, and 1 exclamation point gets the point across. Remember, your most important information is YOUR WEBSITE and your GIMICK. Don't be afrait to MAKE STUFF REALLY BIG. You're paying top dollar for that paper...USE IT UP.
