Thank you for your feed-back. Actually this it's just a part of the context, a work in progress of the below exposed logotext. It was a must to find something pretty similar in the serif/sans-serif relation...

In my GD program, we were required to take a class that was all about print file preparation and preflighting. Granted, it was only one class, one semester, but, from what the rest of you are saying,...

I'd agree with the OP's statement. I learned design at a vocational college and was taught the bare bones of prepress, I consider myself lucky to have been taught bleeds and trapping and overprinting......

Please cast your eye over my front page.

I would appreciate some healthy crit on this, my first ever website effort, in terms of layout, colour and image use, or whatever you feel could be improved.

I intended to move all the thumb galleries to a second page, but ease of use and minimum navigation has made me rethink, so all the thumbs are there when you open the page.

    Cluttered??

Many thanks guys, your opinions are needed!!

P.S. discussion on user-interface and loading time might be better left for the website forum... ;P

Ooo, I like this. Excellent color scheme, good mood and a nice layout.

My only beef is that the text in the upper right text box is a little on the small side. But this beef is very thin.

And no, I don't really find it to be cluttered. Good use of space.

        Ahh thank you, Jack.

I've been juggling it about (not much) and have got to a point where it is good to go, for the time being, i think, maybe...

The text has been increased a little, and I have re-organised the contact info, but I really am not sure at this time if it is better or worse. I need to get on with some real work!!!

It is only two days in the making, so it'll do for a week or two. I look at it as an online portfolio rather than a website. Sure in time it'll expand into something with flash all over the place, but I like the simplicity. I love a good entertaining website, but this one is for architects (no offence to my customers, by the way).

The copy needs rewriting (my sis), then translating into spanish (my gf), and that's the contents out of the way.

Thanks, and do visit again. Well appreciated

            Esta muy buena viejo!
I like the composition and the use of color, fits good with the architecture style. But the image all over the background seems too much for me, specially behind the thumbs. Photo over photo is always hard get well.

That's very often true, unless it's laid over a photo that's faded well. Even then it can be kinda ugly, but I think this is a very good use. Just a difference in opinion, I suppose. For me, it works out in this case. I wouldn't change it much.
