also I dislike the negative space on the new C and the house. Any suggestions how to fix it would be appreciated.

It is much much better than the original one. I still think it could be way better though. The curve of the "C" is a little ackward, it doesn't have a smooth curve. It looks like you've tilted the C back a little too which makes it off kilter. Also the curve going through the letters doesn't work IMO. Have you tried sitting the letters on top of the curve? It will also fill the huge gap inside the C. Try making this logo work without using gradients also. Keep us updated.

I don't think it's a good idea to use the gradient in the logo... especially for a home exteriors company, which usually has a goal of showing strength. I think keith's sketch would be a better way to go.

Thanks for the insightful comments, By no means was this a final logo, I hand drew the thing and then cleaned it up.

I am a bit concerned letting the letters rise, afraid it will look too Coors beer.

As far as the gradient goes, I added that last minute, I would actually like to just lose the house and stay with logotype, as the c will be so stylized anyway.

I will post some of my sketches and further concepts later, when I can spend some time scanning in my sketch pad.

For kicks, I would just try pitching them the idea with the Coors Light logo

The thing is, they would probobly think it was a great idea, and see nothing wrong in using the Coors Light Logo.

i don't think it would look to much like the coors logo if you let the letters rise.. theirs is in a thick script font, and you wouldn't be going that direction, especially with some kind of home imagery. of course, I may change my mind if I see it actually done, so who knows

Yeah plus the coors is a cursive font and the C doesn't underline the logo.

Hey

the last one is much better,

i think you need to get rid off the highlights on the

main title and leave it all black,

also avoid "small spaces" between the curve and the letters,

Such as between the curve and the s,

the sub title is good, and i think you should try another simple font,

Something who got no circled corners, so it'll work better as a "base" to

the logo.
