Just trying to come up with new and original pieces... Curious as to how everyone comes up with their stuff!
I mostly write down random stuff in my notebook then try to break it down to a solid concept.
Looking at inspiration works but i don't want to take from them.
    Any ideas/methods would be awesome!

It might sound like a riddle, but the solution usually stems directly from carefully defining the problem.

For fresh ideas I usually write words, a series of words, or made up words, and then build a visual from there.

I also respond to patterns and rhythms, space and time.

Textures are part of the same process.

I guess like B, it helps to really have all the background information before I start. It's extremely difficult (for me, anyways) to create something if I don't know much about the client or why they want that particular thing designed.

Then, I get out of the house. Go places, see new things, try something new. My best ideas come to me when I'm not actually working.

Actually, I was referring to applying for employment. I'm kind of mixed on whether or not it would be a good idea, but I think overall, if the card is pretty creative, it could serve as a memorable token....
