Does anyone have a good system for printing out fonts to create a reference library that you can actualy leaf thru? This might sound old fashion but much more pleasant. I am working with MAC OS10 and Suitcase Fusion.

i'll second that question!
i've got an old 3" 3-ring binder of typefaces sitting on my shelf that i inherited from my predecessor but it's very out of date. i'd love to update it because, yes, it made seem old fashioned, but sometimes (especially when i'm dealing with salespeople and don't want them hovering behind my desk looking at my screen) it really is convenient. we have 2500 typefaces in our system library and use linotype font explorer and i haven't checked to see if there's a feature to generate reference printouts.

I gave it a try myself, it seems like it will do the trick for what you want.
It has a couple of quirks to it (particularly if there's more than one screen font size in a suitcase), but it works.

Linotype Font Explorer will do what you want. You can Print out every font on
your hard drive with it, and every weight in the family. You print them out from
the PDF that it exports them into. Very slick feature

It will? I tried to see how to do it before I replied to this post. I guess I was too lazy to really probe into it. Pray tell me how kind sirs?

Good to know about, Carter, thanks!
I'm seriously finding Font Explorer to be a vast improvement over Suitcase X1.
Although I rarely print out font samples, it's nice to know that feature is built in there as an option.

I've always been pleasently suprised when fishing about for features in LFEX.Originally posted by urstwileI'm seriously finding Font Explorer to be a vast improvement over Suitcase X1.
All it seems to do is work. Unless you run a PC

I started my own "print out" collection years ago and have found it very useful. It contains all the unusual and useful fonts that you can never remember the name of. Having said that, there's still only about 50 typefaces in there.

Commented to Zombies Take Heed!!!Heck, my blades on my wheels look more like pushmower blades. More cutting surface to "mow down" those nasty zombies.

Commented to Gerber SoftwareAny why is that? I'm fairly new to this type of work/printing. I was a silk screener previously so I've had the program experience but I've always had to convert my designs to positives for textile printing....
