    Can someone help out there on how to differentitae between male and female fonts and what are they?

    Helvetica Bold is male, Curlz MT is female.

            Have you tried a Google search? Not that I think there is such a thing as male or female fonts...

                lol... This is the first I've heard of it too, but I suppose you could genderfy your fonts the same way many languages add gender to different nouns. For instance, a train is male, a bicycle is female, etc.

                I'm still picturing Mr. PD trying to print a stubborn font and crying, "You bastard font!!!"

                  I've heard of orphan fonts. But they're orphans, no one cares about them, no one cares if they're male or female.

                    I'm thinking the same way Ckret is, not "male" or "female," but "masculine" and "feminine."

                    Futura Bold is masculine, Shelley Andante is feminine. But it's really really subjective.

                        in the os9 days when you couldn't match a bitmap font with the outline font or visa versa they were called orphan fonts.
