PHP is a back-end (server-side) language that pretty much produces the HTML (for web development/display purposes). There are other uses for it, but if you're comparing the two like this, then there is a misunderstanding somewhere.

Picking up on what Obsidian86 said (and which I agree with), all websites using PHP also use HTML. HTML is a markup language that describes the organization of structured data so a web browser can display it. PHP is a server-side language that manipulates and organizes data pulled from a database, and in the process inserts things like HTML code into the data.

PHP and HTML are completely different things. Your question is based on false assumptions about what HTML and PHP are.

I like that you are answering the 'why' questions. Why is the text background red, why are you using the crumbled paper texture etc.

This shows that you are thinking threw what you are doing...

            Hey guys,

I have been designing for about 10 years now as a freelancer and am entertaining the idea of trying to find a job at a creative firm. Right now I'm building my resume and portfolio...

            Hey @someguy,

Thanks for sharing your designs! I would encourage and challenge you to try to narrow your design focus. Right now none of the designs are 'bad' but none are 'good'. Design,...

            Hi all,

Got some really smart and creative advice on some early business card designs from this forum, went away and worked on one of the designs and two new ones.

            Could I ask...
