  • Advice on simple banking-style design

    So, for a little background, I'm working on a text-based web game as a passion project. I'm no designer; far from it. I'm working on the banking feature of the game, which as a few features. The banking page is what allows you to perform all these features, but I feel like my design is lacking and I don't know how to spice up the banking side of things. Here's an image of what it looks like currently...

    Too many words.
    I grew up playing text only adventure games. The banking was always the easiest part. You put your loot into whatever passed for a ''bank'' and kept on playing.

    For instance, your top left box.
    ''Deposit silver here to keep it safe. Earn interest!''

    Top right box
    ''There is a withdrawal limit. Don't push it!''

    Middle box
    ''It's up to you to collect your interest. Here!''

    This bottom box...now this is were I suspect this is supposed to be teaching kids(?) about banking or savings accounts or something. If so, you need to gear your interface more toward that. Right now it looks really boring and non-engaging.
