Well use the same link as the HTML test, just replace the HTML with CSS, and then Javascript. I nailed all 3, I guess i'm in the right biz.

                          I'm around a level 3-4.

Also the W3Schools is a great reference but it's the technical side of design. The practical side is a different story. I scored around 95 for the HTML test on there but that just means I was studying not that I know it all. Practice makes perfect and nothing in life especially web design works right out of the box.

I don't like that post at all. trying to be funny and wasn't (yes I didn't find if funny, thus it isn't and never will be)

I don't know where I fall, I understand enough to work with photoshop and dreamweaver to make a site. I can 'debug' problems that pop up and I know enough code that I could get a basic html page out of note pad.

but dynamic content, php, javascript, etc. seems over my head. I feel like I can do almost anything I want, but I don't know how to do it "right." If I look at an example I can almost always figure it out, but it takes time to learn how it works.

75% on the quiz, some stuff on it I've never used. I guess once I learn it I

I scored a 70%, I am sadly currently residing between level 2 and level 3. I will grow to level 5/6 mainly because I am a stubborn, gotta learn it all and challenge myself kinda guy. even if I dont need it. I know a lot about biology, audiology, and neurology too, but that was just a phase..... I like pretty pictures and complex code better. B>/

For the first one, you can do as Hotbutton said, which will work fine. You can also use the various tools in Illustrator's Pathfinder palette window to cut shapes apart. For example partially layering...
