Have a look at this site I've just done:

    www.vasanthasai.org.uk

I'm really happy with it. I'd appreciate any feedback about browser problems - especially if someone can look at it with a Mac.

Can't seem to make the menu bars have an even height in IE.

Hi thanks a lot it seems that the main <div> changes width very slightly with different browsers! Urgh. Will investigate.

Nice site really I like it.

The only thing I noticed is your twig with the leaf switches slightly from page to page in Safari on OSX.

          Good job though really.

Thanks for checking. I've now redone the code as <div>s that float and hopefully that has stopped the images misaligning at the edge. If someone can have another look on Safari I'd appreciate it.

Still shifting sorry man. Did you apply the same style sheet to everypage?

Damn. Is it happening on all the pages and is it only the faded out leaf thing on the right hand side that sticks out, or are there other elements doing it? Wish I had a Mac to test on. Thanks for looking.

I'm not seeing the shift between Firefox and IE on PC.

Oh, I see. I think this might help. http://www.positioniseverything.net/...pe-floats.html

I use that technique on my site. http://www.edgewebdesign.org/style.css My nav is horizontal, but the principles are basically the same.

Ryan: I'm really confused. All my floats are in a fixed width <div> so according to that 'positioniseverything' page, I shouldn't have a problem. When I look at it in IE or Firefox I don't have any problems. Are you seeing something breaking?

I thought the only problem was that according to Benjo in Mac Safari the edge of the faded flower thing sticks out too far to the right off the page.

When you guys say 'shifting' are you talking about the page moving sideways when you move from page to page? That is due to the appearance and disappearance of the vertical scrollbar. Or do you mean that the faded leaf thing is moving up and down with each page? (I've fixed that now) Otherwise what do you mean by shifting? Thanks a lot.

                          Site is now at www.vasanthasai.org.uk

In IE the active tab is slightly smaller than the other nav buttons. That is all I'm noticing.

OK that's not too bad. Don't know why it does that but it's not too bad. Thanks.
