  • Image with Drop shadow...

    #1
I am trying to save for web in PS with an image that has a drop shadow. It is showing the white when it is put on a colored background. I changed the matte to none but then the drop shadow looks crappy. Any ideas?

You have to anti-alias it to the background you are going to put it on. If you try to anti-alias to a transparent background it will always give you the jagged white pixels.

even with no matte, there is a matte color actually in the shadow. Just change the matte color to whatever background color the image will be sitting on.

Unfortunately I am trying to have it overlay a gradient. That is where my problem seems to be. Sorry...didn't make that clear before. Thanks for the suggestions.

You'll have to find the exact location that it will sit on in the gradient and anti-alias over that.
