Have you worked in the field yet? Other than an internship if you did one of those?

I'm a big fan of pullin out that phone book like PD suggested! And of course...trying to get a job in prepress. A year there will do you more good than 4 years of college did! Experience with that will help in your career..a huge amount of help and understanding!

While you're looking for work, or even after, try putting up a profile and seeking freelance jobs at www.guru.com . Also, in agreement w/ D and PD, pull out your phone book and call around. In this economy, many print and sign shops are not keeping a full staff of graphic artists and will hire people out of house to do work. You also never know when you'll stumble on someone who will respond 'you know, we've been saying we're going to hire someone and just haven't gotten around to it...'. All you have to lose is the time you already have on your hands ringing folks....all you have to gain is a potential job or freelance work. Miami is a city full of glitz, sex appeal, high profile competition in the industries of nightclubs, plastic surgery, shopping, beauty, clothing, cars, fine dining. Target those areas. Best of luck!
