i'm looking to design a 3d interactive interface for a forest walk type place, with focus being on the plant hunters that discovered the plants and trees from the past 200 years. real indiana jones types these explorers. anyway. quicktime vr was suggested, but i've never used it before, it looks good but is there anything that offers you the chance to actually move through the forest using video footage, and say, stop at intervals to read about the explores. eg:

walk through, turn 'head', see plant, icon appears, click button icon, new info page opens/ info window appears.

i don't know if its possible without using 3d vector packages, but i want this to seem real, and make movement possible along the given path.

any suggestions? your help and advice is most appreciated guys!

in flash you can make a virtual tour with a digital camera

    actionscript.org/tutorials/advanced/Virtual_Reality_Tours_in_Flash/index.shtml

    I hope that might help

thanks for your reply bIG pERM,

yeah the button thing is exactly what i had in mind, obviously a little better designed!

BUT. what i really want is movement, being able to go through doors, i don't mean anything to interactive, just being able to follow a path, you know?
