You have a long way to go to get this looking and functioning good. Stick with it though, we all start somewhere. I wonder why you call yourself a "Web Designer" and say you are proficient in web design when you are clearly just starting out and learning....

Mike, Yes, you have made a very valid point there! I have only put up that site, to show on here and get opinions from various sources, it is by no means a final product but more of a test and trial. Im currently doing a evening-class course on Web Design, so hopefully by the time that I properly roll this website out, i will have finished this course and can officially call myself a "web designer"

Framesets you say, would you be able to enlighten me on those? I was under the opinions that framesets were those wierd template things that dreamweaver offered as a starting point...but im guessing that is wrong! I made it with a main "wrapper" DIV then other DIV's positioned inside, is this wrong?

Your hosting company is using a frameset for domain masking. That's usually a sign of free or very cheap hosting.

Visit this page for a description of framesets and why they are generally a bad idea.

That isn't to say divisions can't be used but they should be used to isolate areas of information and that is all.

You're welcome, Garricks. I figure whatever knowledge one has one has should be shared so it won't atrophy.

Besides, when I was going in the opposite direction (coming from a coding background and trying to learn proper graphic/print design ), I got tons of patient assistance & words of encouragement from designers I worked with. Pay it forward and all that, y'know?

Thanks tZ! I think I still have a lot of learning to do, as I can roughly see how to make a website with code like that, but i have no idea how to get it the appearence of the current website? I think it would just be a white background with black text! haha

It's "stationery" - "e" for envelope.

And curious to your contact methods? Does your webhost not give email?

And on your range of packages, you left out a "d" at the end of Card. Unless you're offering a "Business Car".

The site needs a lot of work. And you could do with more portfolio work.

Yes, I do have an e-mail address in the form of Oliver@(domain name).co.uk

But i log into the squirrel mail thing in that account, but it doesnt recieve any emails or doesnt send them, so i think something is wrong! I have emailed my hosting company but they have not responded.

That would be the proper use of CSS.
