I took a chance and downloaded the PDF.

Anyway, what do you mean about mimicking a design? What design are you trying to mimic?

As for a grid, yeah, I can see that you've...

You and I both think it's odd... and to be honest its from a very large well known ad agency so it is even more surprising.

I am not the printer. I am a designer and I am leading the design...

    Thanks Cosmo...

I downloaded the file but it put utilities on my computer that I had to delete.

It would be nice if you could just download the paint program without having unwanted...

  • Code to make image expand when mouse hovers over.

Right, I have seen in various places, where there is a central box, then thumbnails around it, then you hover over the thumbnail and it appears in the box...how do I do this?

If this is too hard, i will be happy if I have all my thumbnails shown, then when you hover the mouse over them, the image appears but larger, do you get what i mean?

    Thanks
    Ollie

P.S, if its just a case of adding a little bit of simple code to after the image, it would be much appreciated if you could just give me the code to drop in.

It's probably just some Javascript code (Lightbox/LightBox2.0/litebox, perhaps?).

Can you post an example of one of the links you are refering too?

Ok, I have literally no idea how to use javascript, so if i could avoid that, it would be good. I would actually prefer the second thing i mentioned, where you just hover over the image and it appears full-size next to the mouse point, have you seen this before?

your first option sounds like a css image gallery...google that, there are several versions and tutorials out there...

your second option can also be done via css...jquery can be used as well...

        good luck!

I did a tutorial on how to make the rest of the gallery, but it finished up as just a grid of 6 thumbnails that the border changed colour when you moused over them. It was the "tutvid" one.

Ollie, so you know... your site loads really really slow...
I'm not entirely sure why... but maybe the photos are larger than their actual size that you see?

Glad you figured out spry. I love those things for all us non-coders that need to build websites. (sad but true).

Yeh, the site is loading slow as the pics are not compressed, they are just normal JPEG ones. I will shrink them down as GIF's.
