I have created the banner found on the front page, center at groovychannel.com. It has a red to orange gradient background and says Groovy Channel to Launch at AlwaysOn Stanford Summit. Particularly around "Groovy Corporation" and the rest of the text, the image appears really fuzzy. I did this graphic in Photoshop. It looked great there, but whenever I put graphics on a site, this fuzziness occurs. Does anyone have any clue what causes it? I would love your input. Thanks in advance.

The fuzziness is caused by jpg artifacts when your quality settings are too low—jpgs don't handle areas of flat color well.Originally posted by redu4 View PostDoes anyone have any clue what causes it?
When you choose to save for the web in PS, utilize the 4-up preview to tweak your quality settings until the artifacts disappear. It's going to make your graphic heavier, but that's the trade-off you're going to have to make in this case as your banner isn't going to look good if you save it as a gif (due to the gradient, glows, etc.)

Thanks! I will try that! I actually am also wondering... when you complete a photoshop image and save it in PNG, why does the image get bigger? Can I just open it again and reduce the image size?
