    I trying to do an image for my web page and I want the burnt edge effect and I only have corel and can't get a hold of a copy of Photoshop CS3 - 4 so does anybody out there know how to or have an Tutorial for doing Burnt edges in corel paint and/or coreldraw

      Works the same in Corel Photo Paint as it does in photoshop just a little different in the tools selection - which corel has a few more options.

      Make a shape. Fill with a color, then use the dodge and burn tools to create the burned shadows. You can clip/mask/erase the edges to get more of a torn look. Then take the dodge tool again to touch up the edges. You may want to google some extra brushes for stains and aged look.

      Here's 10 minutes of messing and I only use Corel Photo Paint once every 6 months or so.
