  • Flash based websites and search engines`

    Hi,

I have created my porftolio website:

    www.devolutiondesigns.co.uk

As you can see it is a website mainly constructed of Flash movies spread over numerous web pages.

I want to be able to embed some kind of code or such to help with the site in search engines.

any advice would be very much appreciated

    Thanks

        Thanks Digizan!

Flash is more than just animation for me I find it very useful in my web design work. My portfolio needs to reflect the work i do and flash is a big part of that.. I have actually moved from a primarily HTML/CSS site to this version which I am much more happy with...

          Maybe 10 years ago.

These days, Flash is very much designed as a platform for developing rich internet applications.

Having said that, I'm still not convinced that the numerous Flash-based online portfolios people are using are entirely a good idea.

Thank you, don't know exactly but it looks similar and portraits the same feel as DIN, such a great typeface.

Thank you again, much appreciate it!...

CS6 is perfectly fine. Even though it can be awkward to ask someone to save down to CS6 for you if they send you a file, it's still fine in most cases. For what you're doing you could probably use original...

You don't say how long you go without anything to do, but I think what you're describing is common. I experienced this at my second in-house job. There would be days with little to do, then all the sudden...

My name is Sam, I'm a 26 year old Junior Production Artist for a production platform company. I'm still on the inexperienced side, and I'm still feeling a bit awkward at my job...

It sounds like whoever ordered the graphic file is ordering the shirts through a promotional items vendor who is then outsourcing the work, probably overseas.

I would certainly have a clause...
