Type is little difficult to read over the photograph on the home page.

Its good to know your slowly learning CSS. However, I recommend you take some time to learn semantic mark-up in combination. You can't accomplish much with CSS unless you also understand HTML. One particular example is on the Charters page. It would be best to use a definition list or unordered list to mark-up each title and url pair.

Another commonality I see throughout the site is the use of presentational id and class names. This generally bad practice. You should name and classify tags based the content they contain. Style may change, but its rare the purpose ever will. Using the content out approach makes the page that flexible and easier to change or manage in the future. Presentational naming patterns also make the mark-up that much more difficult to read and understand for someone else. At the time you may understand the purpose of style1, but months down the line may you may need change the site some that purpose may not be as evident then if the item were identified based the content it contains.

Another thing I'm noticing is that the "headings" aren't actually marked up as headings but paragraphs. Headings can have a significant effect on SEO when identified in the correct manor. The computer was no way of knowing whether content is meant to be a heading without using one of the heading tags such as; h1,h2,h3,h4,h5 or h6. The most relevant of these tags are h1 and h2 which have a significant weight placed on their importance SEO wise in comparison to any other tags. You should take advantage of this easy and effective way to enhance SEO of the site rather then resorting to using paragraphs for all content.

For content area of the page I linked to in my previous post the HTML can be reduced to the below by removing everything presentational and purposeless.
