  • How to create this?????

    Hey guys,

A customer recently asked me to have a look at creating a Content Slider similar to this:

    http://www.petdoctors.co.uk/

Where the pictures are background images and the text is layered on top, which can be optimised for search engines.

Usually I'vr created this in flash, but have no idea how to do this - not even sure if its Javascript, CSS etc..?!! Any idea guys? Plus, if I outsourced this as a project, how much would it cost in a round-about sense?

    Thanks people!!

Jquery Image Slider << search that term to find one that fits your needs.

Based on the Jquery javascript library.

super simple to set up too.

        Hey Diego

I used to live in Doncaster! Scawthorpe.

Jade is quite right, plenty of ways of doing this. I'm using 'slideshow' from JoomlArt on a couple of Joomla sites I've built recently.

Easy enough to install and use if it's a Joomla based site.

It's called "Parallax effect" and it is javascript base. I don't know if it is a Jquery or mootools library. The site I originally bookmarked is down so you'll need to search out your own sources.

I'd normally let these kinds of things go as a matter of opinion, but in this case, with people recommending vBulletin, I need to say something.

If by combine, you mean overlay them on top of each other while preserving and combining the red areas of both, yes, Photoshop can easily do it -- at least in this particular instance with these two images....
