  • December Contest - Motion

    #1
Post your entries here. Cut off date for submitting photos will be Sunday December 24.

You can host photos for free at www.thecreativeforum.com, which will also allow you to put your images into the GDF Photo Gallery... (when you upload a photo, just select a GDF destination from the dropdown menu) please don't upload attachments, as they don't carry over properly into the voting thread.

Editing software may be used for usual processing (cropping, tonal and color adjustments, resizing), but no outside elements, objects, or images can be pasted, drawn or added into the original image. No elements, objects, or images can be cloned, cut out, or taken out of the original image other than what occurs from cropping.

The theme is: "motion". Happy shooting!

I have a couple old ones that could represent the 'motion' cat-egory

but i think i'll enter either this one...

          iso-100 Tv-6sec Av-f7.1
          or this one...

          iso- 400 Tv- 0.500s Av-f4
but you'll have to give me a few mins to decide...

think I'll go with the last one.. entitled 'Drive'... just wish it wasn't so grainy. The camera i took it with wasn't very 'user friendly' to be honest... no focus and not much adjustment available... i'd have been ok had i just been able to change the iso.
Never mind. I can live with it.

i like that one of the road with the lights. especially because it says "SLOW" but with the lights it looks like it would be going fast. just thought that was cool. the one you chose is sweet too.

same goes for everyone! nice job....ill hafta see if i can round up something....

yeah, i chose that part of the road specifically for the irony.. think i cropped it too tight tho... and now i've lost the original... still any excuse to go out and re-shoot

                Thanks for the kind comments!

Sorry, I don't know of any other way to do this sort of thing besides by hand. The fonts chosen to create the shape will have a lot to do with how "close" the word gets set against the implied...

I was thinking more along the lines of Salzburg TS bold or the Salzburg serial heavy variety ... although it looks squished a bit.
