  • Where to Develop Photos

Where do you GDFers get your pictures developed? of course i would love to have my own personal darkroom and everything to do it all myself so it comes out exactly how i want it, but i dont so i was wondering where you have had success in photo developing. i just recently bought a film camera (havent used film for a while and when i used to use it i was just point-n-shootin and was indifferent about quality) and was wondering if it made a difference where i went.

If you're talking chains; I have found that PROEX isn't too bad.
But when I want something done right I take them to a local professional shop called Pro Color.

Just don't take them to Walmart.

Check ebay and see if you can get some stuff so you can at least to your own b&w prints. Its fun, trust me, especially doing manual masking, dodging, burning and double exposures etc. very old school.

I never went to wallmart but a colleague of mine was telling me how cheep their service is. I thought about taking some of my shots there as well. I'm talking digital though. When I do, I'll report back for sure.

Moo's cards are printed on HP indigos. Definitely a step up from "common" copier-based digital printing, and on the upper tier of digital printing, but if you could go for traditional offset...
