What is the history behind double exposure, and what makes it such a great way to do photography? I want to here people's opinion on this and possibly share some links.

Hi unique one and welcome to GDF.

We ask every new member to read the threads posted HERE, particularly this thread to get acquainted with how things work on GDF. They will explain how the forum runs, the rules, frequently discussed topics and our inside jokes. Your first few posts will be moderated, so don't panic if they don't show up right away. Enjoy your stay.

Double exposure when you're talking way back when we all used film cameras and before people did post on the computer was one of the ways you could play around with special effects on film. I can't say I've played around with it and these days, hardly anyone would bother. You just take 2 separate photos and composite it in Photoshop. Maybe not as skillful or interesting, but heaps easier.

When I think of double exposures, I think of how people made ghost photos like these.

It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" Winnie the Pooh

Reply to Price of Foil vs. Varnish for business cards?
Neither Foil nor Varnish are done on a digital press - you would have to get your Business Cards printed Litho. For 100 cards this is always going to be expensive - you could probably get 2000 cards...
