  • A3 printer recommendations

    Hey All,
I'm thinking about getting an A3/A3+ printer for a home offcice. Edge to edge printing would be ideal. I would like to print various items like small poster projects and not specifically photos. I would also like to be able to print some thicker paper stocks with a little texture.
Does anyone have any experience with or could recommend anything they have found to be notable?

I use a little Epson Artisan at work for quick proofing and rez checks (and an occasional photo or two.) Goes up to 13" x 19" and prints borderless. I've put light card stock through it but nothing more textured than a laid paper.
It'll also print CDs and DVDs if you care to.

If you use OEM Epson paper, you can get some really nice results. If you are going to use other papers, it can take a little trial and error to figure out what profile is going to work best. The inks are fairly long lasting even unprotected. But I wouldn't use it for things like posters you are going to sell. It's a desktop inkjet. Perfectly serviceable, but not a fine art printer.

Awesome, thanks! I will check this out. As much as I have all these grandiose ideas about what I think I'm to do... This is prob. what I will really need

I quite like it to be honest, it's not too stuffed but it's clean, easy to remember! Well done Dan.

I think what you described is fairly typical of most jobs. I'm not saying it's identical but I do web design, email design, interactive apps, collateral, booth graphics, signage, posters, advertising,...

Do people still use QR codes?
Two phones ago I downloaded an app just to check that a client's QR code was linking properly when printed. 4 years later now, and that app has never been used again....
