  • Non-OEM printer inks fade fast!

    #1
For all you photographers that print out your photos, you may want to investigate light and dark fade on the inks and papers you use. While it is common practice to replace the expensive ink cartridges with refills and low-cost aftermarket cartridges, if you are printing your images for professional or long term use you may want to check out this article (it starts on the right hand side of the page):
    http://www.wilhelm-research.com/hardcopy/hardcopy.html

The chart on page 6 is very eye-opening.

You may also want to check out the book download at the Wilhelm Research site and read all about the history if image fading and film conservation.

They also have reviews of the printers/inks/papers out there on the market for your review.

Very interesting, some of those refills were only good for a few months.

Interesting, even though I never print pictures myself, I usually use Pixum.

I think I am getting a bit better with the pen tool, but let me know if you see where I can improve? Also, if there are areas to improve the illustration style, thanks?...

This is something I made in my free time.

I'm not planning on going to art school or anything like that, but I still like drawing and designing, so I'm planning on doing it as a side thing....

Jeez Louise, all this time later the West Wing can still make me tear up. Just watched S10E10, In Excelsis Deo. Toby uses the President's name to secure an honor guard for a homeless Korean conflict vet...

I know there's a way in CS5.5, my coworker sends all his proofs that way. In the add watermark, halfway down I think there's a drop down menu that allows you the option there....

Just a series of album covers I made for personal use. I downloaded Vivaldi's Four Seasons a while back and wanted album art that didn't feature four trees. I followed that with covers for audiobooks...
