  • How can this be created?

I am trying to make a design like the picture provided in Cinema 4D, but I cannot seem to get anything close. I am fairly new at the program, but I was just wondering how can something like this be created? Thanks for your responses in advance!

The object itself should not be so hard, but the mesh framework around it would be harder. I think the mesh was added manually after. I see no evidence of it having been there when the object was ray traced, as there are no shadows. Of course objects can be set to not cast shadows, but why not? So if I had to copy the look I would model and render the object, and then take it into Illustrator or another program and draw the mesh.

Its pretty simple stuff. Create any geometry you like. Create another copy of it, scale it up and add an atom array to it. Done!
