I know you guys already have a thread up about "Which 3d program to use", but i am looking for some helping with what is a good program for macs? The only thing I've really seen available to us is TurboCAD Mac Pro. Does anyone else have anything? Thanks.

Kinemac
LightWave 3D
Maya
I know Blender is FREE so that may be a great place to start. I've played around with it a little on the PC - I didn't even know there was a mac version till now! I'm so excited to download this!

I would highly recommend Cinema 4D one of the easiest to learn if you have a litltle 3d background and the user interface is fairly easy to learn too. Have't used it in awhile but other than 3d StudioMax and Maya, Cinema 4D is right there with them IMO.

Just a thought. I'm not totally up on the latest Leopard upgrade. We did just load WindozeXP into a bootcamp-loaded iMac though. I'll have to download a few things and try it out. Someday.

My college uses Lightwave on their macs. It's an awesome program, but it takes awhile to get used to.

Commented to logo critique for a newbie?I feel the text is fighting the symbol. Either a different typefeace or different proportions would do good. They are too close as well. Especially on the one below.

Commented to Graphics tabletGo for Wacom. I have the Bamboo and I like it. Though I haven't tested out any of their flasher tablets, Bamboo is a good starting point.
I haven't heard of the other brand you mentioned.... -
Commented to Why can't I post a link? We're still squashing bugs. Can you describe what you were trying to do exactly and where and what error did you get? Thanks!

Commented to Graphics tabletGet a bamboo. It's cheap and really good. Be prepared that it takes 2-3 weeks to get the precision you currently get with your mouse and then it will improve beyond it.

I go away for a couple of weeks and look what happens - nice new site but why can't I post links to work?

Commented to Graphics tabletThank you for the welcome! Well, I have wanted one for a while. The mouse is just too slow and inaccurate for me. You can't get the detail in the drawings that I would like. As it is my first venture...

Commented to Help with design processThis is very ambitious. It's so hard to answer you in general as there is just so much material to cover. Perhaps if you ask smaller questions or show us what you have done I can help better....
