  • how to copy path from Illustrator to Photoshop?

    I'm trying to simply copy vector art as a path into Photoshop from Illustrator.

    According to what I remember (and the User Guides), you can easily do this by dragging the art from Illustrator into Photoshop while holding the command key (MAC). I am doing this, but it is still copying as raster art.

    HELP! Am I missing something really dumb?

    My art in Illustrator is type that has been converted to outlines.

    select the art in Illy, copy, then go into photoshop and hit paste, it will ask you how you would like to paste, options include 'pixels, path, something else, cant remember' hehe, hope that helps

        I don't get that option anymore. I thought maybe it was a preferences thing, but I can't find it in there either.

          well are you using a shortcut to copy and paste? alot of times that doesnt work for me either, you have to go into edit in illy and choose 'copy' then go into ps, make a new document and go to edti, and choose paste...if that doesnt work I suggest doing a search on the Adobe forums for an answer.
