  • Scaling objects in Illustrator

    Can't scale objects while holding the shift key. Also, on-the-fly copy & paste (using option key + dragging object) does not work.

    Reloaded program and it works fine... until I open an older file that has the mysterious setting applied... then it resets everything back to bunk mode.

    I checked keyboard shortcuts and found nothing that seemed to apply to this problem.

    Anyone?

    Are you running Entourage at the same time? On a Mac?
    Try shutting Entourage off.

      Yes! That's the weirdest glitch I've seen in a while.
      Guess I'll just stop communicating when I want to scale something.
      Entourage.. pfff

        Glad it worked. Thanks for posting back. So often we throw ideas out there but never know if we solved the problem.
