  • How do I make a RAVE animation clickable?

    #1
I have a banner ad created in RAVE, and it animates fine, until I try to make it clickable.

I can select a text object in the timeline, and (using the Internet bar) add a URL. When I do this, that part of the image does become clicky, but the object also turns invisible! I'm not sure why attaching a URL would do that.

Second thing I tried -- I clicked the last frame in the timeline, then attached a behavior -> URL. The animation doesn't go invisible, but instead when the animation ends, it automatically forwards me to the URL. That's probably working as-designed, so here's the question:

How do I make my Flash animation clickable (the whole area of the ad, not just 1 object)?

I'm not familiar with Corel or RAVE (except the 80/90s techno raves), but generally, to make an entire swf's surface area clickable, you just need to place a transparent object over your entire flash animation's timeline prior to publishing, using actionscript's getURL function to call whatever page you want it to point to when the user clicks on it. Easy as that.
