  • Quark 5 (PC) Printing Issues

    #1
I am having trouble with the way my solid colors and illustrator eps' print from Quark. Theeps will print (to my printer) at a low resolution and is all jagged. Solid colors (backgrounds etc) will print so that you can see the dot breakdown on the output. However, if i bring a solid color TIF in and print that there isn't a visable dot breakdown.

If I save the file as an eps or distill it, the illustrator eps looks clean as does the dot breakdown. The problem I am having with this is that the photos look extremely light and washed out.

    Any suggestions?

Hello hieb, welcome to the forum. You have to have a Post Script printer to print any eps files from Quark.

Thanks. I have a Minolta color laser (http://www.minolta-qms.com/products/...300W/index.asp) I thought that would do it..
