  • Dumb QXP 6.5 Question

    Hi Folks

I've been asked by a client to recreate an object in Quark 6.5. It would be far easier to do in Illy, but he doesn't have Illy and he doesn't want to pay for Illy.

However, he does want to open the file on a regular basis and change background colour (and he won't pay for me to do that either!).

Anyhow, I'm about 85% complete but I now need to run some text around a circle shape.

I'm fairly certain 6.5 was able to do this, but I can't for the life of me remember how!

If anybody could spill the beans, I'd be more than grateful.

    It's real intuitive. (NOT)
    1. create a circular object.
    2. Change its content type to text
    3. Change its shape type to line. (Item> Shape> Freehand line)
    4. Get the Text tool and type your text on the path.
I don't think 6.5 had any other controls for where you could start or stop the text though.
