I am hiring a full time/full benefits Web Designer. Needless to say, you must be good at design but you also need to have a solid web programming skill (nothing crazy, but CSS is a must). Salary will be competitive as well, DOE of course
Here's the rundown on us:
Redfin is a weird place to work.
Maybe it's because Redfinnians have started all sorts of ventures, from a bar, an award-winning drag-queen documentary, a pizzeria, a stroller-distributor, a carnival ride, a video game café, a publicly traded software company, a coffee shop, a design studio, a thousand-member car-enthusiasts' club.
Even now, we want more entrepreneurs. As the first online real estate broker, we’re doing something that has never been done before, so we have to hire people willing to take risks, to screw up, to keep learning.
And we want believers. Our business was started by people who worked for years without pay, so the only word that can explain some of the things that we do here is "love": the love to make it new, to make it beautiful, to think big, to shake things up.
The reason it’s easy to believe in what we do is because our customers are not real estate brokerages or other big-money businesses but just regular folks hoping to buy or sell a house. They motivate us to try to be insanely great.
Our values – innovation, passion, hard work, customer service – can be the foundation of a great business. If you share these values, check out the job descriptions below, and then throw your hat in the ring.
Here's the skinny on the job:
Redfin seeks an experienced Web Designer with strong web dev skills to help design the next-generation user interface for consumer real estate experience. This person will be at the center of our efforts to build the most beautiful and powerful home-shopping application.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work quickly, creatively and efficiently under intense deadline pressure to create compelling and effective user-centric designs. Requires the ability to work well in a team, take direction and follow corporate design guidelines, maintains consistently high graphic standards and is aware of new techniques and trends in interactive design. This person will work closely with existing engineering, product, and marketing teams to provide needed expertise and deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
