• What Software To Use?

#1
Hey everybody, for past 3 months I was wondering what program to use to create something like this:

I certainly know that it is possible in flash, I even tried to mess with it, but it's simply too difficult for me.
I know there should exist some programs out there to do those kind of 3d text animation, easily without hassles.
Also if you would happen to know one of those, please post them in this thread. My only concerns are -
1. Program should be able to output the images in .gif format (i.e. I am not interested in .swf format)
2. Program has a trial (don't care how long it is for) with a possibility to save at least 1 finished animation.

Thanks in advance, this forum was much of help with my previous questions, I hope that won't be different.

You should be able to do this easily in Adobe ImageReady. You can create and export animated gifs fairly easily from this programme, and you can add the animation frame by frame.

I didn't download it to see if it works, since I have the full version, but I found a trial version:

There are PC and Mac version available to try.

Actually I own Adobe ImageReady yet (since it comes with Photoshop), I know it's possible to do that in ImageReady.
But that's not what I was trying to find, I was trying to find a program which would 'generate' this kind of effect, since
in ImageReady it would literally take couple hours to draw it out frame by frame, since Photoshop and ImageReady work
in 2d environment only. What I look for is a program that generates the 3d environment frames, which combined gives the
rotation frame per frame animation,

check out Erain's Swift 3D www.erain.com

at this point i'm not sure if it exports in .gif i'll have to check when i get home, but i know it does export to .ai, .jpg. and swf, so you may be able to convert it to a .gif.
the trial is available and you are able to save files but you can't export final renders.

this program works great with flash and it could render both vector and raster images. It is also very affordable, be sure to check out the user showcase i've got my starscream model there
