  • This site makes my web browser and connection "hang"

    #1
I use a Mac G4 with ADSL connection. Safari is the default browser, and whenever I'm on this site for more than about five minutes, my internet connection 'hangs', and I can't access any web ages or get emails. It won't disconnect either. I have to restart the computer.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Shame really 'cos I quite like this forum.

I have the same problem with Safari since 10.3.2 and not just on this website. It seems certain images hang it up and I can't quite figure out why. Even updating to panther.3 hasn't fixed it yet. I think it is a Safari thing though cuz IE works fine.

Ah, not just me then. Safari only does it noticeably on this site for me though. It's fine with almost all others.

That used to happen to me but now I just reset Safari and I'm back up and running.

Just go to Safari>Reset Safari on the menu bar. You have to log back in but it'll speed it up some. I constatly do this to keep my connection up to speed. I'm on a T1 line so it realy doesn't slow down much.
