We are still snow free for now .... I know that fateful day is fast approaching though.

Time to get your shovel warmed up <b>

Thank goodness for the weekend! This week seemed to drag on for eternity! Nothing planned yet, just like I like it!

Just measured before going to bed — 18 inches.

And now I've even resorted to quoting myself, which is likely a symptom of going stir crazy from being stuck indoors all day.

Well it is quite a shock to the system <b>, out riding the motorcycle one day then snowed in the next.

I put a boned pork shoulder out on the smoker at 430 this morning. Well, more like 530 after getting it all fired up and ready to go. Doing it over an apple cider water pan (got a batch of hard cider too sour to drink). The back yard smells like a brewery.

Still convincing myself it is too early for yard work. We can't start up yard machines before 10am on Sunday. Though I can hear em shooting up at the gun range starting at 9.

so how'd it turn out PD? sounds like it would be tasty! i ended up doing 2 8lb boneless butts first time going boneless and i wasn't sure how they would hold up on the grates so i put them in a foil pan.

10 hours later there was about 2 inches of fat in the bottom of the pan and and they were done. the meat came out very tender but i didn't get any bark, my favorite part. next time its right on the grill grate.

here is a shot of the final product.
